History

The Burdwan Co-operative Agriculture & Rural Development Bank Ltd. is one of the oldest Bank in Purba Bardhaman & Paschim Bardhaman District as well as in India also in Long Term Credit Sector.

This Bank was established in the year 1941 bearing Registration Number of the bank is 164 Dated 26.12.1941 under West Bengal Co-operative Societies Act & Rules. The then Collector of Burdwan, Dr. Abani Bhusan Rudra M.A., L.L.B., Ph. D (LONDAN), I.A.S. was the first Chairman of this Bank.
